On Thursday, 35-year-old Tasha Hatcher from Glen Rose, Texas, was arrested for placing her daughter in an oven. The daughter sustained third degree burns and is currently being treated at a nearby hospital.

Child Protective Services has taken custody of the daughter and immediate family members have been barred from having contact with the girl while the incident is under investigation.

Hatcher was charged with Injury to a child with serious bodily injury – a first-degree felony – and arraigned Saturday. She is being held on a $300,000 bond.

According to Hatcher’s Facebook profile, the caring mother works for Quality Inn and Suites and StoneWater Church in Glen Rose.
